Ok, last post of the day and this is gonna be a quick one :) Just wanted to share this card I made using Colorbok paper. The paper is from the Crown Jewels and Jewels paper stacks. The Digi image is from a coloring book, and she was colored using baby oil and crayola colored pencils. Great right? Its such a great technique and super easy. I have to head off of here really quick but I will be back to update you and share the technique with you all. Have a blessed day everyone!

MORE SVG Cuts

I am soooo loving this kit I got from SVG CUTS. This 5 minute card kit is FABULOUS!! It seems to always take me a little longer than 5 minutes but thats not due to anything on their part. Today, my hubby surprised me and came home for lunch, and then it was naptime for baby girl who decided that for the first 30 minutes she was going to play in bed. And I was doing a billion other things lolz. So it did take a little longer than 5 minutes but I think the extra time was worth it.
So as you all know I just recently got my Cameo, and coming from handcutting everything to having the cameo is a dream. I just pop it off the cutting mat and I can put it together and go. I can add more or less, I can make swirly things and cut out lots of circles and its easy. I can even do things like add more flowers to a file because I think it will look nice and not regret it because I have to cut them myself. I have stopped short of making many files before when I had to handcut them because I didn't have the time to cut out all of the intricate pieces. Well that is no longer the case. Where am I going with all of this? Well, I said all of that to explain how EXCITED I was to add a few extra flowers and layered flowers to this card.
It was so fun to make! I have this 180 Paper stack from DCWV that I got with a coupon for 50% off, which means 180 sheets for $10! Amazing! And it had all these fabulous patterns and pieces of paper that actually went really well together. I love how the silver makes the flowers stand out a little bit. Well, that was just a quick post to share with you all! I hope you enjoyed your look and please come back soon!

So I have been working more and more with my Cameo and seeing these cards with people using the versamark ink pad or pen to make a watermark on the card. Now I have seen it and loved it and automatically had to try it. I even have a pinterest board for versamark ideas. I love how you can take an image, and make that what you see on the card but just by using the versamark. Its so cool. I decided that since I wanted to try out for the Stuck On U Sketches DT that I would use a die cut image to try this with. The image is from the Cameo, and I found it by searching Silhouettes. Its a little girl in a field with a butterfly coming off of her hand... Oh wait, I probably should have posted the picture and let you guess if you could see it right? Oh.... my bad... lolz. Well here she goes. I used a few techniques with this card that were new to me so I will share them with you now.
Here is a close up of little girl and her butterfly. As you can see the butterflies are stitched and also open. They are still connected to the page, I used the Cameo to cut them that way. :)
Cool technique right? Well if you are wondering how to get this affect, its super easy. Just erase down the middle. Only leave the wings, your outcome should look like this.....
Once you have cut your file out with your cameo, it will look like this. You will have butterfly wings coming right off the page!
I just had a thought too! You could probably achieve the same thing
with Bee wings, or any wings really. And.... CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!!
lolz.. I am going to try and it and see and if it looks good, I will
post it here for you all to see :)
Well, thats it for this post, thanks for looking and have a great day!

Hello again everyone! Here is another card that I am entering in the sketch challenge at Stuck On U Sketches. I have been so much more excited to craft ever since I got my cameo. Quick story, my cameo got sent to my hubbys job instead of to me, and got lost in their warehouse. I was devastated of course, and then the next week they found it. Ecstatic me wanted my hubby to bring it to me on his lunch break, and he got into a bad accident that totaled our car while bringing it to me. My hubby is OK. He walked away without a scratch and 2 of the 3 people in the other car were rushed to the hospital. The driver of the car (which ran a red light and caused the accident) fled the scene before the police got there (this fool ran away. Yes. In front of witnesses). He still has not been found, and our car is wrecked. We got a new truck out of it, but it put us in a bind. Anyways, I say all of that to say this, I told my hubby I would make the best cards that I could using my cameo, since all 0f that happened while he was bringing it to me :). I thank God that he is ok though. Ill post a pic of the car as soon as we can get back down to the wrecking yard.
Well, as I said before I have been so much more inspired to craft ever since I got my cameo. I have this sketch book full of designs and I can actually do them now! This sketch was actually super fun for me :)

I used a free SVG file from BIRDSCARDS and I love that the files are available for use. The dots are all handone and the sentiment was written with my cameo and the sketch pens. The rananculous flower is from Ellinee' and the paper is Colorbok Crown Jewels and Jewel Photo Mat collection. Brads and buttons as centerpieces for my flowers has become a favorite of mines :)
Hope you enjoyed this card, and thanks for looking :)

Ok, so it took a little longer than 5 minutes, but thats because I wanted to make it a little extra oomph-ish. Well thats probably not the right word to use but thats ok lolz. You know what I mean! This card was so much fun to make, more because it was really simple, and it looks complicated. It wasn't. The recipe for this one is as follows:
- Ivory Linen coverstock paper
- COREdinations Tim Holtz Ranger Distress paper
- Fiskars texture plate & coredinating tools
- White gel pen (I prefer Sakura Gelly Roll)
- DCWV paper stack
- Green paper
- Silhouette Cameo
- SVG Cuts 5 Minute Card Kit
- Embroidery thread
- Buttons
- Any other embellishment you want
This card was cut using the template in my Silhouette Cameo. I embossed the COREdinations paper using the texture plate, and sanded the embossed portion. I also faux stitched the inside of the flowers and the sections where the leaves are to give it an extra little bit of texture. I love how fun this card looks with all of the patterns :)
Welps, thats it for now. Thanks for looking everyone :) Have a blessed day!

Hey everyone! So I am super excited to bring this card to you today. It is a card that I did for a Stuck On U Sketch challenge. It is the first die-cut challenge for April, and I was just so excited to participate. Well without further ado, here is the card that I created :)
The card layout and the crab and tags are all from the Silhouette Online Store. I added a layer in the card, I love the white layer in between the red and the patterned paper. The buttons I got from walmart (on sale), and the brads are from a set of mini brads. One thing that I absolutely love is the stitching. I handstitched this using my white Sakura gel pen, and used the same pen to highlight different pieces of the crab and sand. The words were typed into the banner on the silhouette and the machine wrote it out using the fabulous sketch pens. I had so much fun making this card, and can't wait to post my next cards for the other challenges :)
Thanks for the fun SOUS!!

So, I woke up this morning, and after my prayers, and checking FB and getting on Pinterest, I found this image that made me soooo excited! Now, I have noticed that a lot of people are taking rubber stamp images and pinning them, and that's not OK. I was repining some of the Magnolia images not knowing, and the company went through and shut it down. After that, I began watching what I was pinning and I make sure that the image is a free one, royalty free or from a coloring book (that is also free) and then I go from there. Anywho! I saw this picture of these two little kids ice-skating and it just popped! I clicked the picture and the link took me to more pictures and I am so inspired to create! I just want to encourage you to look around you and find something that inspires you. If you have little ones, find a coloring book and color! If you are like me and live in Fort Lame, Somewhere in the Midwest, then spring time is playing peek-a-boo with you and coming and going every other day so the weather just isn't inspiring. There are many places offering you different things to do. Try a challenge blog with weekly or monthly challenges. Those will also get your juices flowing. Well, I am through with my little rant and can't wait to show you all these next few cards! Have a blessed day everyone!
